Parent Teacher Association

Bletchingdon Primary School PTA is an organisation which brings together parents, teachers, and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community to improve the educational opportunities for all the children.

Annual fundraising events include a quiz, spring fair, pamper evening, raffles and Christmas celebrations. The PTA also support the school with a number of voluntary activities throughout the year.

Every parent at the school is a member of the PTA and the current committee members are Victoria Ingham (Chair), Jane Mullane (Treasurer), Vicky Walton (TA), Kelly Whitehead, Fiona Mason (TA), Emily Pitman, Farhana Smith, Danyell Stimpson, Lucy O’Hare, Zara Rutt, Emma Richens, Liz Preece, Cassandra Lown and Melissa Greenough.

We are always looking out for new members and ideas for new events and everyone is welcome to come along to meetings or even just to events to help out.

What School Items are Funded by the PTA?

The PTA funds a number of different activities and equipment for school depending on their requirements. Past purchases include:

  • The Nest – new building
  • General outside space improvements
  • Subsidised whole school trips
  • Class iPads
  • Library, textbooks and subscriptions including providing support during the coronavirus home schooling
  • Cooking equipment
  • Subsidised after school clubs
  • Bean bags
  • Eco Council support with activities
  • Children’s Christmas and school leaver gifts
  • Donations for each class

Second-Hand Uniform

The PTA will collect any second-hand school uniform, PE kit, and bookbags to be re-sold at future events during the year in order that items can be reused. All fundraising proceeds will go towards purchasing items for the school.

Please place any items in the PTA box at the entrance to the office.

If you wish to purchase any second hand school uniform items at any time during the year please contact the office who will be happy to help you.

Suggested donation prices range from £1 – £3 depending on the item with proceeds going towards PTA fundraising :

Logo Items:     Sweatshirts / cardigans – £3

White t-shirt / sport top / bookbag – £2

Non-Logo Items (sportswear / trousers / shorts / skirts / summer dresses): £1
