The School Day

Children are welcomed and arrive in school from 8.30am with the school day starting at 8.45am. The school day ends at 3.00pm.  Seasonal extra curricular clubs are held and currently include sports, chess, art and French.

Breaktime and Lunchtime

There is a break of 15 minutes in the morning.  As a healthy eating school, we ask that children bring fruit or vegetables, rather than crisps, sweets or biscuits if they wish to eat at breaktimes.  Lunch time is from 12.00 to 1 o'clock (11.30 to 12.30 in our foundation stage unit).   As of September 2015, school meals are cooked on site or children may bring their own packed lunch.  The cost of a school meal is currently £2.10 to be paid on Mondays in advance (cheques made payable to ‘Oxfordshire County Council’). Milk is also available to drink at morning break. The cost of this is 22p per day, payable weekly, monthly or termly in advance through Cool Milk.

A daily Act of Worship occurs.  Times for these assemblies do vary each term. Links with St Giles Church Bletchingdon are strong and weekly visits are made by Clergy and  other members of the church to lead the School in an Act of Worship. The school contributes to Harvest Festival and Easter services at St Giles Church.

Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship.
