Break Up 1:30pm
All slept well - they were asleep by 11pm and had to be woken at 7.20am.
A great day was had by all climbing and abseiling. We travelled to Heatherslade Bay and made our way through common land down towards the cliffs. After half an hour of scrambling for one group, they settled down to have a 'snackette' and then try their first climb and abseill. Thanks to Alfie for checking Mrs Walker's 'karabiner' and keeping her safe. Thanks also to Jorja for keeping her team safe when abseiling.
Taking instruction on 'how to ride the perfect wave'!
Two hours later and still going strong!
A spot of sunbathing to warm up.
All were asleep by 11.20pm last night and awake by 7am. A hearty breakfast of cereal and tea / water was followed by a bacon roll. Lunch consisted of their choice of roll, a pack of crisps, flapjack and fruit. Supper tonight is sweet and sour or curry. This evening we will be indulging in hot chocolate and Malik's birthday cake - Happy 10th Birthday Malik.
Another example of great team work from Kaelyn and Toby.
Kids versus bush ... who do you think came off best?
Tom and Max playing 'bumper boats'
Great team working.
The coach arrived at around 12.30, having stopped at the service station just after the bridge. Arrival meant lugging bags up stairs, making (or attempting to make) beds and then lunch. After lunch we split into our groups and, having been suited and booted, we embarked on some team building activities.
The team working here was exemplary.
The team had ten lives - unfortunately five lives were used by one person!
Suited and booted and ready to go.
What a cheeky group!
Supper tonight is chicken or sausages and chips.
Tomorow we are canoeing on the canal.
